Courage

Songs by manowar

This songs a very good in words. The lyrics can give so much courage in our live....enjoyed.....

Some Want To Think Hope Is Lost See Me Stand Alone
I Can't Do What Others May Want Then I'll Have No Home
So For Now Wave Good-bye And Leave Your Hands Held High
Hear This Song Of Courage Long Into The Night
So For Now Wave Good-bye Leave Your Hands Held High
Hear This Song Of Courage Long Into The Night
And The Wind Will Bear My Cry To All Who Hope To Fly
Hear This Song Of Courage Ride Into The Night
Battles Are Fought By Those With The Courage To Believe
They Are Won By Those Who Find The Heart
Find A Heart To Share
This Heart That Fills The Soul Will Point The Way To Victory
If There's A Fight Then I'll Be There I'll Be There
So For Now Wave Good-bye, Leave Your Hands Held High
Hear This Song Of Courage Long Into The Night
And The Wind Will Bear My Cry To All Who Hope To Fly
Lift Your Wings Up High My Friend Fearless To The End
So For Now Wave Good-bye, Leave Your Hands Held High
Hear This Song Of Courage Long Into The Night

Heart and Feeling

You've never felt pain until you've felt love.

You don't die from a broken heart.. you only wish you did.

I will always cherish the initial misconceptions I had about you.

The hardest part of dreaming about someone you love is having to wake up.

I just realized, it's so lonely being free.

Someday never really comes, does it?

No one can promise they’ll never hurt you, because at one time or another they will. The real promise is if the time you spent together will be worth the pain in the end.

You don't realize how much you care about someone until they don't care about you.

It's always the same in every relationship, there is always one person crying and wishing to get back together, while the other doesn't even remember the things they've been through. I hate that I have to be the one who remembers every little detail while you can't seem to remember me at all.

The worst way to love someone is to sit next to them, knowing they don't love you back.

We laughed until we had to cry, we loved right down to our last goodbye, but over the years we'll smile and recall for just one moment we had it all.

Love unreturned is like a question without an answer.

I would like to stay a secret, like walking in the dark, if no one knows you, no one cares and no one breaks your heart.

Loving someone that doesn't love you is like reaching for a star - You know you'll never reach it but you just got to keep trying.

Love that remains longest in your heart is the one that is not returned.

Nemo

This is me for forever one of the lost ones. The one without a name without an honest heart as compass. This is me for forever, one without a name. These lines the last endeavor to find the missing lifeline.Oh how I wish for soothing rain. All I wish is to dream again. My loving heart  lost in the dark. For hope I'd give my everything

My flower withered between. The pages two and three. The once and forever bloom gone with my sins.Walk the dark path.Sleep with angels.Call the past for help.Touch me with your love and reveal to me my true name

Did you ever hear what I told you?
Did you ever read what I wrote you?
Did you ever listen to what we played?
Did you ever let in what the world said?
Did we get this far just to feel your hate?
Did we play to become only pawns in the game?
How blind can you be, don't you see?
You chose the long road, but we'll be waiting

Bye bye, beautiful...

Gods Made Heavy Metal

Heavy metal (often referred to simply as metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and the United States. With roots in blues-rock and psychedelic rock, the bands that created heavy metal developed a thick, massive sound, characterized by highly amplified distortion, extended guitar solos, emphatic beats, and overall loudness.

Heavy metal lyrics and performance styles are generally associated with masculinity and machismo. The first heavy metal bands such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple attracted large audiences, though they were often critically reviled, a status common throughout the history of the genre. In the mid-1970s Judas Priest helped spur the genre's evolution by discarding much of its blues influence; Motorhead introduced a punk rock sensibility and an increasing emphasis on speed. Bands in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal such as Iron Maiden followed in a similar vein. Before the end of the decade, heavy metal had attracted a worldwide following of fans known as "metalheads" or "headbangers".

In the 1980s, glam metal became a major commercial force with groups like Motley Crue and Ratt. Underground scenes produced an array of more extreme, aggressive styles: thrash metal broke into the mainstream with bands such as Metallica and Megadeth, while other styles like death metal and black metal remain subcultural phenomena. Since the mid-1990s, popular styles such as nu metal, which often incorporates elements of grunge and hip hop; and metalcore, which blends extreme metal with hardcore punk, have further expanded the definition of the genre.

Heavy metal is traditionally characterized by loud distorted guitars, emphatic rhythms, dense bass-and-drum sound, and vigorous vocals. Metal subgenres variously emphasize, alter, or omit one or more of these attributes. New York Times critic Jon Pareles writes, "In the taxonomy of popular music, heavy metal is a major subspecies of hard-rock—the breed with less syncopation, less blues, more showmanship and more brute force."The typical band lineup includes a drummer, a bassist, a rhythm guitarist, a lead guitarist, and a singer, who may or may not be an instrumentalist. Keyboard instruments are sometimes used to enhance the fullness of the sound.
The electric guitar and the sonic power that it projects through amplification has historically been the key element in heavy metal. The lead role of the guitar in heavy metal often collides with the traditional "frontman" or bandleader role of the vocalist, creating a musical tension as the two "contend for dominance" in a spirit of "affectionate rivalry". Heavy metal "demands the subordination of the voice" to the overall sound of the band. Reflecting metal's roots in the 1960s counterculture, an "explicit display of emotion" is required from the vocals as a sign of authenticity.Metal vocals vary widely in style, from the multioctave, theatrical approach of Judas Priest's Rob Halford and Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson, to the gruff style of Motorhead's Lemmy and Metallica's James Hetfield, to the growling of many death metal performers, and to the harsh screams of black metal.
The prominent role of the bass is also key to the metal sound, and the interplay of bass and guitar is a central element. The bass guitar provides the low-end sound crucial to making the music "heavy".Metal basslines vary widely in complexity, from holding down a low pedal point as a foundation to doubling complex riffs and licks along with the lead and/or rhythm guitars. Some bands feature the bass as a lead instrument, an approach popularized by Metallica's Cliff Burton in the early 1980s.
The essence of metal drumming is creating a loud, constant beat for the band using the "trifecta of speed, power, and precision".Metal drumming "requires an exceptional amount of endurance", and drummers have to develop "considerable speed, coordination, and dexterity...to play the intricate patterns" used in metal.A characteristic metal drumming technique is the cymbal choke, which consists of striking a cymbal and then immediately silencing it by grabbing it with the other hand (or, in some cases, the same striking hand), producing a burst of sound. The metal drum setup is generally much larger than those employed in other forms of rock music.
In live performance, loudness—an "onslaught of sound," in sociologist Deena Weinstein's description—is considered vital. In his book Metalheads, psychologist Jeffrey Arnett refers to heavy metal concerts as "the sensory equivalent of war." Following the lead set by Jimi Hendrix, Cream and The Who, early heavy metal acts such as Blue Cheer set new benchmarks for volume. As Blue Cheer's Dick Peterson put it, "All we knew was we wanted more power."A 1977 review of a Motörhead concert noted how "excessive volume in particular figured into the band’s impact."Weinstein makes the case that in the same way that melody is the main element of pop and rhythm is the main focus of house music, powerful sound, timbre, and volume are the key elements of metal. She argues that the loudness is designed to "sweep the listener into the sound" and to provide a "shot of youthful vitality."

It Couldn't Be Done

Somebody said that it couldn't be done,But me with a chuckle replied. That "maybe it couldn't," but myself would be one.Who wouldn't say so till she'd tried. So myself buckled right in with the trace of a grin on her face. If she worried why she hid it.I started to get the answers as she tackled the thing that couldn't be done, and she did it.Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that.At least no one ever has done it".And the first thing we knew she'd begun it.With a lift of her chin and a bit of a grin, without any doubting or quiddit, she started to give 1000 reasons as she tackled the thing that couldn't be done, and she did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done, there are thousands to prophesy failure. There are thousands to point out to you, one by one.The dangers that wait to assail you but just buckle in with a bit of a grin that "cannot be done," and you'll do it.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will, when the road you're trudging seems all uphill, when the funds are low, and the debts are high and myself want to smile, but i have to sigh when care is pressing me down a bit rest if myslef must, but don't you quit.Success is failure turned inside out the silver tint of the clouds of doubt and myself can never tell how close am i.It may be near when it seems afar,so stick to the fight when feel the hardest hit. It's when things go wrong that myself mustn't quit.
